About us...
The Kwantlen Student Association is a place run by Kwantlen students, for Kwantlen students.
The Student Association was incorporated under the Society Act in 1981, and it continues to serve the Kwantlen Univeristy College student body by providing support services, advocacy and representation.
At the Kwantlen Student Association, all elected officials are guided by a set of By-laws, as set by the membership, the students of Kwantlen University College. A copy of our by-laws can be found by clicking here.
Each spring, elections are held for students who wish to serve a year-long term on Council or the Executive Board of Directors. A team of dedicated support staff is also on hand at the Student Association to help handle the day-to-day business and management operations.
The Kwantlen Student Association provides financial contributions and lends logistical support to:
The Kwantlen Student Association has also donated equipment to Kwantlen University College for use by students:
- Computers for Job Placement Services
- Computers for Online/Web Registration
- Microwave Ovens
- Photocopiers
- Printers
Also, in 1999, the Kwantlen Student Association donated $1.6 million dollars towards the construction of Phase II at the Surrey Campus, which features the Talon Room Fitness Centre and Gymnasium, the KSA Offices, and the Fish-Bowl Lounge, which includes:
